AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah assured that he and his teammates are currently aiming to secure second place in the Seria A to reach the Champions League next season.

Roma managed to thrash AC Milan 1-4 in an important away match in the San Siro. Salah assisted his team’s first goal and managed to win his side a penalty kick in the dying moments of the game which Danielle De Rossi converted into the back of the net.

“We managed to win three important points. We are currently competing for the second place in the league,” Salah told beIN Sports TV channel after the match.

The Giallorossi are currently second in the Seria A with 78 points, one point away from Napoli. The team will be playing against league leaders Juventus in the next round.

As for the match, Salah said: “I missed an opportunity to score in the first half and almost scored in the second half but I managed to get a penalty kick. Eventually, we play as a team and winning is what we aim for.” The young Pharaoh said that he is always trying to improve and work on his weaknesses after every match in training sessions.

When asked about Roma’s legend Francesco Totti who is expected to hang up his boots at the end of the Serie A season, Salah expressed his gratitude towards Totti and what he learned from him. “I’ve learned a lot playing with Totti. I will need more than a few minutes to talk about him, he is a huge legend in Italy and the world,” the 24-year-old added.
