Smouha announce squad for ZESCO United clash

Smouha manager Momen Soliman has announced his team’s squad for their encounter against Zambian side ZESCO United in the group-stages of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Smouha were drawn in Group C, that joins them with Angolan club Recreativo do Libolo, El-Hilal El-Obeid of Sudan, and ZESCO United.

Due to a heavy spell of injuries, Soliman included each of youngster Mohamed Yousri and Ahmed Mustafa “Lala”, who joined from Baladeyet El-Mahala last January, to the squad list which includes 20 players.

The Alexandria-based club will travel to Zambia to face ZESCO United on Saturday, May 13, before hosting C.R.D. Libolo on Wednesday, May 24.

Goalkeepers: El-Mahdi Soliman, Mohamed Abou Gabal, Ahmed Yehia.

Defenders: Ragab Bakar, Ayman Ashraf, Mahmoud Ezzat, Patrick Malo, Yasser Ibrahim, Mohamed Yousri.

Midfielders: Amr El-Monoufy, Mahmoud Abdel-Aziz, Ahmed Nabil “Manga”, Nasr Ramadan, Islam Mohareb, Islam Serry, Hossam Hassan, Ahmed Mustafa “Lala”.

Forwards: Ahmad Hassan Mekki, Ahmed Raouf, Banou Diawara.
