After a goalless first half at the Thani bin Jassim Stadium, Abdulfattah Asiri opened the scoring for Al Ahli around the hour mark. With four minutes to go, Amiri Kurdi doubled his side’s lead to secure qualification to the knockout stage.

Meanwhile, the Iranian team ended their campaign in the third place with seven points, while the Uzbek side sat at the bottom of the group after collecting three points only, earning one win from six games.
