Zamalek have announced the squad set to face the Zimbabwean club on Friday as they kick off their CAF Champions League group stage campaign.

In addition to CAPS United, the White Castle will have to battle it out with USM Alger and Ahli Tripoli in the African competition’s Group B to earn a qualification ticket for the quarter finals.

“It is just like all the other days and we are preparing the same way we have been doing all along. Our approach in Egypt is to try and do well and try to compete,” Chitembwe said.

The 45-year-old manager affirmed that should his team step up their performance like they did against TP Mazembe they would leave Cairo with a positive result.

“We have the advantage of being able to rest. It is good for our bodies, especially for players such as Hardy Zvirekwi, who has been playing football for the past one-and-half years.”
