VIDEO: Salah answers Szczesny’s questions on life at AS Roma
Mohamed Salah opened up more on his stay at Roma and his ambitions during his time at Arab Contractors, in The Szczesny Show.
The Polish keeper had also interviewed Radja Nainggolan, in his Szczesny Show.
In the first part of the interview, Salah answered questions about growing up as a footballer in Egypt. He said his favorite moment growing up was when he was called up to the Egyptian national team.
“The favourite moment for me was when I was at Arab Contractors, my old club, the coach told me, you will be tomorrow (sic) with the national team. It was an unbelievable moment for me. I was only 16.”
Salah, who “only thought about football” at school, never imagined he would end up playing in Europe. “Honestly, no, but I always try to improve myself even when I was a kid. I wanted to play at the top level in Egypt. In Europe, I didn’t expect it.”
He didn’t waste the chance to remind Szczesny that he scored a goal against him. It’s always a topic that comes up between the two.
The second part of The Szczesny Show focused on Salah’s experience as a Roma player. Most important, Wojciech Szczesny asked Salah whether he is settled at AS Roma. He continues to be subject to rumors of a move away from the club.
He answered, “yeah, we’re friends in the team and I’m happy in this team. My wife also. Everything is good.”
Salah went on to say that he is close to everyone in the Roma team and had a big praise for Totti. He said he “sees magic” when the Roma legend plays.
Lastly, he commended Dzeko for his contribution for the team this season. The Bosnian has formed a formidable partnership with Momo.
