Egypt international Mohamed Abdel-Shafy assisted his side’s first goal as Al Ahli beat Al-Faisaly 3-0 to reach the King’s Cup final.

After a goalless first half, Giannis Fetfatzidis opened the scoring 10 minutes after the break. A cross from Abdel-Shafy found the Greece international who slotted home to give his side a 1-0 lead.

Three minutes after coming on to replace Hussain Al Moqahwi, substitute Islam Seraj doubled his side’s lead following an assist from Abdulfattah Asiri in the 75th minute.

Seraj completed his brace six minutes later to secure Al Ahli’s spot in the final.

Title-holders Al Ahli, who defeated Al-Nassr in last season’s final, will face the winner of the other semi-final, which will see Al Hilal face Al-Taawoun on Saturday.

The Jeddah-based team had qualified for the King’s Cup semi-final after an easy 6-0 victory over Wej SC in the quarter-final. On the other hand, Al-Faisaly had reached the semis after defeating Al-Adalh 2-1.
