Warda sees red as PAOK lose to Panathinaikos


Egyptian international started but was sent off 51 minutes into PAOK’s playoff game against 

Before the two teams could get settled into the game, Marcus Berg scored in the 10th minute from Molins’ assist.

The game quickly turned around though as Panathinaikos’ goalkeeper was sent off in the 21st minute. With the man advantage, PAOK were unable to tie the game in the first half.

Warda received a yellow card only 3 minutes into the second half before being sent off in the 51st minute for a second bookable offense.

A beer can was then thrown and hit the head of PAOK’s head coach before the match was abandoned.
