Hegazy excluded as Al Ahly announce squad for Coton clash

Al Ahly manager Hossam El-Badry has announced his 22-man squad that will travel to Cameroon to face Coton Sport in the CAF Champions League group-stages.

El-Badry has decided to exclude Ahmed Hegazy, Ahmed Hamoudi, Walid Soliman, and Marwan Mohsen due to injury, while veteran striker Emad Meteb was excluded for technical reasons.

On the other hand, El-Badry has included Saleh Gomaa, Saad Samir, Karim Nedved, Hussien El-Sayed, and Sabry Rahil in the squad that will travel to Yaoundé.

The Reds will face the Cameroonian side on Tuesday, May 23. Al Ahly currently sit second with one point after drawing with Zambian side Zanaco, while Coton lie in fourth place after losing 2-0 to Wydad Athletic.

Al Ahly Squad:

Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekramy, Ahmed Adel, Mohamed El-Shennawy.

Defenders: Ahmed Fathi, Mohamed Hany, Ali Maaloul, Saad Samir, Mohamed Naguib, Sabry Rahil, Hussein El-Sayed, Rami Rabiaa.

Midfielders: Hossam Ashour, Hossam Ghaly, Amr El-Sulaya, Abdallah El-Said, Momen Zakaria, Karim Nedved, Saleh Gomaa, Mido Gaber.

Forwards: Junior Ajayi, Souleymane Coulibaly, Amr Gamal.
