Elmohamady makes sub appearance as Spurs destroy Hull
Ahmed Elmohamady played 18 minutes of Hull City’s final match of the league season, as they were steamrolled 1-7 by a ruthless Tottenham Hotspur side led by Harry Kane.
Elmohamady was left out the starting lineup, as Omar Elabdellaoui started on the right flank.
Golden Boot winner Harry Kane fired the visitors into the lead in the 11th minute, before adding a second goal just two minutes later.
Dele Alli then compounded Hull’s misery on the stroke of half-time, when he made it 3-0.
Sam Clucas scored after Senegal’s Omar Niasse found him inside the area with a clever back flick, as the fans urged their team to fight their way back into the match.
The gulf in class was too big, however, and Wanyama restored the cushion three minutes later with a free header, before Kane completed his hattrick.
Elmohamady then came on for the Tigers, but it was too little, too late.
Late goals from defenders Ben Davies and Toby Alderweireld then sealed the rout, as the already-relegated Hull ended their season in the worst possible fashion.
