Maaloul excluded from Tunisia squad for Egypt showdown

Tunisia newly appointed manager Nabil Maaloul announced his team’s initial squad for Tunisia’s clash with Egypt in the opening round of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon qualifiers.

The Eagles of Carthage are set to face the Pharaohs on June 6 in Rades stadium in Tunisia. Both teams have been drawn in Group J, alongside Niger and Swaziland.

Nabil Maaloul, who has been appointed as the Tunisian national team manager to succeed sacked Polish manager Henryk Kasperczak, excluded Al Ahly’s left back Ali Maaloul from the squad.

The list included: Hamdi Kasraoui, Saîf-Eddine Sharafi, Ali Kalaai, Siyam Ben Youssef, Fahmi Ben Ramadan, Aymen Belaïd, Dylan Bronn, Oussama Haddadi, Aymen Mahmoud, Atef Mazni, Marouane Sahraoui, Mohamed Habib Yakan, Eskandar El-Akrabi, Larry Azouni, Mohamed Selim Othman, Maher Ben Saghir, Nejmeddin Daghfous, Hamza Jelassi, Karim Laaribi, Mohamed Wael El-Araby, Idriss Mhirsi, Bassam El-Serafi, Naim Sliti, Ahmed Akaïchi, Hamdi Harbaoui, Ismail Sassi.
