Souleymane Coulibaly fined for travelling without permission
Al Ahly’s director of football Sayed Abdel-Hafiz has revealed that heavy fines will be imposed on Souleymane Coulibaly for travelling to England without the club’s permission.
The 22-year-old has sent Sayed Abdel-Hafiz a text message after he arrived in London, telling him that he will explain his reasons later, Abdel-Hafiz told the club’s official website.
The player missed Al Ahly’s training session on Thursday, as the Reds prepare for a crucial encounter with Misr El-Maqassa on Monday, May 29.
Abdel-Hafiz added that Coulibaly will face punishments after returning back to Egypt, as he travelled without the club’s permission.
The Former Tottenham forward has joined Al Ahly last January from Scottish side Kilmarnock for a fee believed to be around €930,000 after nearly joining arch-rivals Zamalek.
Al Ahly’s player of the month for April has made 12 appearances for the Reds so far, scoring six league goals, as his side needs only one point to lift the Premier League title.
