Egypt International Mohamed Salah was included in France Football’s African XI in European leagues, for his performances in the 2016/17 season.

Salah was directly involved in 26 goals this season despite being away at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, as well as missing an entire month through injury towards the end of 2016.

Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was also included having scored 31 goals in the Bundesliga this season.

At left-wing is Liverpool’s Sadio Mané, who was crucial in helping his team finish fourth and secure Champions League qualification for the coming season.

In midfield is Naby Keita of RB Leipzig, Hakim Ziyech of Ajax, and Frank Kessie of Atalanta.

Faouzi Ghoulam and Kalidou Koulibaly feature from Napoli, and Manchester United’s Eric Bailly is included, along with Chelsea’s Victor Moses.

Carlos Kameni of Malaga completes the team.

In addition to being a football/soccer and basketball enthusiast, I am currently pursuing a combined BS/MD degree at VCU. I also currently work as a Pharmacy Technician in my spare time.
