Zamalek general manager Alaa Abdel-Ghany expressed his satisfaction after the team’s victory against Dakhelya in the Egyptian Premier League.

The Whites were able to defeat relegated Dakhelya after a thrilling 3-4 comeback win on Sunday as they attempt to secure an advanced position in the league to qualify for the CAF Champions League next season. Zamalek are now just six points behind second-placed Misr El-Maqassa, with the latter side to face on Monday night.

“The win gave us a good boost before our game in the Champions League against USM Alger,” said the former Zamalek and Arab Contractors player. The White Knights will clash with USM Alger on June 2.

“We aim to support our situation in the league table especially after we lost the title,” he added. “We are still waiting to know if injured players Dunga and Osama Ibrahim will be able to play the match or not, Ibrahim though will most probably miss the match.”

In addition to being a hardcore football fan, Abdelrahman is a communications enthusiast who works in marketing, advertising, content creation and PR.
