Moruf Yusuf receives first ever Nigeria call

Zamalek midfielder Moruf Yusuf has been called up for Nigeria national team meeting in their upcoming Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier.

Nigeria are set to face South Africa in June as they kick off their campaign by facing Cameroon in the first round of their AFCON qualifiers.

As it was previously confirmed by KingFut, The 24-year-old midfielder will be called up for the first time in his career for his international duty, as he was included in Nigeria’s 23-man squad to face Bafana Bafana after his recent performances for Zamalek.

The full squad:

Goalkeepers: Daniel Akpeyi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Dele Alampasu

Defenders: Elderson Echiejile, William Ekong, Chidozie Awaziem, Tyronne Ebuehi, Kenneth Omeruo, Moruf Yusuf, Abdullahi Shehu

Midfielders: Ogenyi Onazi, Wilfred Ndidi, Mikel Agu, John Ogu, Oghenekaro Etebo, Alhassan Ibrahim

Forwards: Ahmed Musa, Kelechi Iheanacho, Olanrewaju Kayode, Henry Onyekuru, Alex Iwobi, Victor Osimhen, Simon Moses.

Moruf is set to reinforce the Super Eagles in the left-back position dute to the team’s lack of quality players in that area of the pitch as well as the Zamalek man’s ability to carry out that role.
