Ivory Coast and Manchester City’s midfielder Yaya Toure has officially signed a new one-year deal with the Citizens.

Toure was not included in the Champions League squad earlier this season after a conflict rose between his agent, Dimitri Seluk and Man City’s coach Pep Guardiola. The Spanish coach stated that he will not include Toure in any matches until his agent apologizes for criticizing the coach’s decisions.

This has led Toure to apologize on behalf of his agent, which brought him to good terms with his coach. As a result, the club has managed to extend the 34-year-old’s contract to another year, especially after his decent performances in the second half of the season.

“I am delighted. I told myself that the journey at City is not done.”, said Toure to the club’s official website.

Toure has joined the Sky Blues in 2010, coming from Barcelona. He managed to score 81 goals in 299 official games and managed to win the Premier League twice and the FA Cup once.
