Ivory Coast international Frank Kessie has completed his transfer to AC Milan from Atalanta on a two-season loan with obligation to buy, it was announced on Friday.

Kessie was part of the Ivory Coast team that participated in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations tournament, where The Elephants crashed out of group stages without getting a single win.

Milan’s official statement said:

“AC Milan announces the signing of Franck Kessie from Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio, through to 2019.

The contract implies the player will join the club on a two year loan period with obligation to buy.”

The mandatory option to buy Kessie held by Milan is reportedly fixed at €28M.

The 20-year-old starlet made 29 appearances for Atalanta in Serie A this season, scoring six goals and recording four assists.
