Roma reject Liverpool’s £28 million Salah offer – Reports
Liverpool have reportedly had their £28m approach for Egypt international Mohamed Salah turned down by Roma.
The talks between the two clubs are ongoing, despite Roma rejecting Liverpool’s initial offer for Mohamed Salah, who could have joined Liverpool for much less a few years ago, but he rejected the Reds in favour of a move to José Mourinho’s Chelsea.
Liverpool’s initial bid will not be enough to sign the Egyptian, as Roma is understood to want between £35m and £40m for him, according to BBC. The Italian side only paid €15m to sign Salah from Premier League champions Chelsea last Summer.
The 24-year-old is one of Jürgen Klopp’s top priorities, but Mohamed Salah still has two years left on his current contract and the Italian side may try to persuade him to stay for at least one more season.
Mohamed Salah was one of the main reasons behind Roma finishing second in Serie A, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists in 31 league appearances.
Liverpool has made only one signing so far this summer, as Chelsea’s Dominic Solanke is set to join the Reds upon the expiry of his contract with the Blues on July 1.
