Junior Ajayi denies facing problems at Al Ahly
Al Ahly forward Junior Ajayi spoke after the team’s match against Wydad Casablanca assuring that his relationship with everyone in the club is going great.
Ajayi’s fabulous performance with the Red Devils in the CAF Champions League encounter against Wydad Casablanca helped him get involved in both goals, scoring one, as Al Ahly defeated the Moroccan side 2-0 on Sunday in Borg El Arab stadium.
Al Ahly are now joint top of their group with Zanaco at 7 points, while Wydad sit at 3 points in third, and Cotton Sport languish at the bottom of the group with 0 points.
“We managed to defeat Wydad after a very tough game. Now we’re on top of the group,” the player told Al Ahly TV channel after the match.
When asked if he was having any problems with the team currently, especially after Ivorian forward Soulimane Coulibaly left the club accusing the technical staff and players of mistreating him, the Nigerian player said: “I have no problems at all with any of the players or the technical team. I am getting support from everyone in the club which encourages me to perform better.”
The 21-year-old player confirmed that he feels comfortable with the team and that he and his family are living calmly and stress-free. “We practice our daily lives normally in Cairo,” he concluded.
