Mahmoud Trezeguet out of Tunisia clash due to injury
Anderlecht midfielder Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet was injured in the Egypt’s training camp as the Pharaohs get ready to clash with Tunisia.
Trezeguet had a cut in his leg before the team’s training session on Tuesday in Borg El Arab stadium in Alexandria and had five stitches as confirmed by Ehab Lehita.
The player left the camp as he will not be able to join his teammates for Egypt’s encounter against Tunisia on Sunday, June 11 in Rades stadium.
Egypt was drawn in Group J, alongside Tunisia, Niger and Swaziland for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon qualifiers.
Cuper announced earlier his full squad for the match which included 15 local players and 10 players who play abroad. Trezeguet is one of Cuper’s key players and had an important role in the 2017 AFCON.
