Egypt’s Nour El Sherbini and Mohamed ElShorbagy both booked their spots in the final of the squash’s World Series Finals in Dubai.

ElShorbagy, 26, reached his first Tour final since November after beating Germany’s Simon Rösner in the semi-final. The 2013 runner-up fought back from a game down to force a decider. He lost the opening game 9-11 before winning 11-8 in the second game and then sealed the victory with a 14-12 win in the final set.

The other semi-final saw English James Willstrop, who will face El Shorbagy in the final, overpower World Champion Egypt’s Karim Abdel Gawad. The former World No.1, 33, secured a 2-0 victory (14-12, 11-6) over Abdel Gawad in 43 minutes.

Massaro, 33, lost the first game to Egypt’s Gohar 12-14 but managed to make a comeback winning the second and third sets 12-10 and 11-7 to reach the tournament’s final for the third time in a row.

El Sherbini, 21, also lost her first set before winning 11-3 and 12-10 against World No.3 Camille Serme to reach the final. The current World Champion will have a chance to become the first female Egyptian to win this title when she faces the English champion on Saturday.
