Mahmoud Kahraba to extend Ittihad loan – Report
Ittihad board aims to finalize Mahmoud Kahraba’s loan extension for one more year after the player’s contract ended this season.
According to a report in Saudi Arabia, the board is hoping to wrap up the deal in the next few days and agree on all terms with Zamalek to extend Kahraba’s loan for one more season, especially that the Jeddah-based club will not be able to sign new players for next season.
Ittihad was banned by FIFA from making any new transfers till the winter of 2018 as the club failed to pay late dues to former player James Troisi. Kahraba’s case, however, is different as the player is already registered as one of the team’s players which will not count as a new signing.
In addition to the transfer ban, FIFA also deducted three points from the club in February after they also failed to pay late dues to former player Daniel Alejandro.
The report said that Zamalek might agree on extending the loan for one more season after Ittihad made a better offer and increased Kahraba’s monthly salary. It is worth mentioning too that Zamalek’s president Mortada Mansour spoke before about the player’s interest in extending his stay in Saudi Arabia with Ittihad.
