Le Havre turn down option to purchase Taher Mohamed
French side Le Havre AC announced that Egypt U20 international Taher Mohamed will not join the club permanently after his loan ended.
Former Egyptian National Team manager Bob Bradley and former manager at Le Havre, was first impressed with the young Egyptian forward who joined Le Havre on loan with option to buy back in August 2016. However, the club decided not to buy Mohamed and the player will return to Arab contractors.
It’s worth noting that former Contractors president Sherif Habib claimed that Mohamed, who is the product of the club’s youth sector, will follow in the footsteps of Mohamed Elneny and Mohamed Salah, with many regarding him as the next best talent to come out of the club since the duo. US ESPN also listed the player in the top 10 world football players eligible to reach the 2017 World Cup in Russia with their national teams.
