Salah listed among world’s most expensive footballers
Egypt International winger Mohamed Salah has been listed among world’s most expensive football players in the world.
The CIES Football Observatory research team has estimated Salah’s current transfer value to be around €67.5 million, ranking him as the 40th most expensive player in the world surpassing the likes of Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale, Manchester United’s David De Gea, and Bayern Munich’s duo Douglas Costa and Thomas Müller.
The Egyptian has been also ranked as the fifth most expensive Serie A player, ahead of Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi, Juventus’ Miralem Pjanić, and teammates Edin Džeko and Radja Nainggolan.
Meanwhile, Barcelona’s winger Neymar topped the list with a transfer value of €210.7 million, Tottenham’s duo Dele Alli and Harry Kane came in second and third places with values of €155.1 million and €153.6 million respectively, then Lionel Messi came in fourth place with €151.7 million.
Real Madrid’s winger and 2016 Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo came in 11th place with a transfer value of €112.4 million.
