EPL fixtures announced, Elneny and Ramadan face tough openers
The English Premier League ‘EPL’ fixtures for the 2017/18 season have been announced with tough opening matches for both Elneny’s Arsenal and Ramadan’s Stoke City.
The opening weekend sees Arsenal, who finished the season in fifth place with 75 points and won the FA Cup, host Leicester City on August 12.
Mohamed Elneny, who moved to Arsenal in January 2016, made 14 league appearances with the Gunners, five Champions League matches, three in the EFL and two in the FA Cup, which Arsenal won. In 24 matches he scored two goals.
Meanwhile, former Al Ahly winger Ramadan Sobhi will head to Liverpool as his team clashes with Everton on August 12 at Goodison Park. Ramadan joined the Potters in July 2016 and made a total of 20 appearances so far. He scored two goals in the league.
After the opening round, the two Egyptians will face each other in gameweek 2 as Stoke will host Arsenal. The second face-off will be in gameweek 32.
