Egyptian ‘Neymar’ to undergo trial at Etoile du Sahel
Ex-Zamalek and Egypt’s U20 national team player Khalil Haggi, also known as ‘Neymar’, is set to undergo a trial with Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel.
Haggi currently plays for Swiss club FC Zurich’s youth team after leaving Zamalek last year. The 18-year-old has previously underwent a trail with Italian giants AS Roma; however, due to the club rules of buying a specific number of underage players, the trial failed.
The Egyptian will undergo his trial with the Tunisian club in the upcoming days. Afterwards, the decision to sign Haggi lies in the hands of the club’s manager Hubert Velud.
Should the trial succeed and Haggi signs for Etoile du Sahel, Haggi will be the second Egyptian to transfer for the Tunisian side in the summer after Egyptian striker, Amr Marei, coming from ENPPI.
