Saleh Gomaa nets a brace as Al Ahly defeats Smouha 4-2 in the Egyptian Premier league.

Al Ahly managed to open the scoring as Saleh Gomaa placed the ball past Smouha’s goalkeeper in the 16th minute.

Just nine minutes later Smouha’s Islam Mohareb scored the equalizer for the home side, making it 1-1.

In the 33rd minute, Momen Zakaria redeemed the lead for the Reds as he slotted the ball in the back of the net.

Both teams failed to score further goals until the referee blew the half-time whistle.

69 minutes into the game Saleh Gomaa managed to double his tally, making it 3-1 for the Red Devils.

Eight minutes later, Al Sayed Farid pulled one back for Smouha as he sent the ball home from the spot.

In the dying moments of the game, Rami Rabia scored Al Ahly’s fourth goal securing the three points for the Egyptian Giant.

Following the win, Al Ahly remains on top of the league table with 79 points, while Smouha occupies fifth place with 51 points.

Mohammed Salama is a 20-year-old who fell in love with football since Egypt's AFCON final match against Ivory Coast! Strangely enough an Al Ahly and Al Masry fan locally. In addition, he's a hardcore Bayern Munich supporter.
