Roma sporting director Monchi is heading to England to meet club president James Pallotta, and is expected to finalize Mohamed Salah’s move to Liverpool.

The Egyptian’s move to the English giants is nearing completion after Liverpool gave in to AS Roma demands. Sources confirm to KingFut that Salah has booked his ticket and is expected to arrive on Tuesday, the 20th of June, after an agreement in principle has been reached between him and his future club.

According to PagineRomaniste, Roma sporting director Monchi and manager Eusebio Di Francesco will fly to London on Tuesday to meet with club president James Pallotta, where they will discuss both transfers and general club matters.

Ramón Rodríguez Verdejo, known as Monchi, confirmed the presence of an offer for Salah, but hinted that it is not sufficient, which made Liverpool submit a revised bid for the Egyptian’s services, which was satisfactory to demands.

KingFut understands a deal for Salah has been struck at a record-breaking fee in the range of €45 million including add-ons, after the Italian side demanded a figure over £40 million to part ways with the Egyptian international.

Salah had a brilliant season with the Giallorossi, recording 15 goals and 13 assists in 31 league appearances, guiding Roma to the second place in Serie A, which guaranteed them a place in the UEFA Champions League next season.

It is worth noting that the former Chelsea winger was one of only eight players in Europe’s top five leagues to record double figures for goals and assists last season.
