Ibrahim Salah: We know how to handle USM Alger fans
Zamalek captain Ibrahim Salah does not believe that he and his fellow players will be affected by USM Alger’s fans who will be attending the CAF Champions League encounter on Wednesday.
The White Knights traveled to Algeria to face USM Alger in the fourth round of the Champions League. Zamalek are topping Group B after three games with five points.
“We came to Algeria to win. The team is ready for the match even though we’re exhausted from playing too many matches in the past period,” Salah told the press. “Despite all that, our coach Augusto Inacio can prepare players well for the match.”
As for the pressure that USM Alger fans might have on Zamalek players, Salah thinks that his team is experienced enough to face such pressure and not get affected by it.
The captain also criticized CAF for setting the game to start on 10 p.m. instead of 11 p.m. as Zamalek requested. He sent a message to the African Confederation saying that the whole world is taking a break to rest except for Africa, pointing out that Zamalek is barely taking any breaks between league matches and African games.
