Agent: Ramadan Sobhi staying at Stoke City
Ramadan moved to the Potters in the summer transfer window for £5m from Al Ahly, and his manager then Martin Jol wasn’t surprised by his move as he expected that he would soon move to Europe. The Dutchman also told his friend José Mourinho to keep an eye on the Egyptian.
Shawky confirmed however that Ramadan is staying with Stoke after concluding his first season, making 16 league appearances for the English side. “Who in his mind would leave England and move to Germany. Ramadan is not moving to Germany,” Shawky said in radio comments.
The agent also spoke about other Egyptian players saying: “Amr Warda is not facing any problems in Greece and we’re trying to find Al Ahly’s Mohamed Hany offers abroad.” He also confirmed that Ahmed Elmohamady is close to leaving relegated Hull City.
