OFFICIAL: Bertrand Traoré completes move from Chelsea to Lyon
Burkinabé international Bertrand Traoré has signed for Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon from Chelsea for a fee of £15m.
The 21-year-old had a hard time at Chelsea, scoring only four goals in 16 appearances in three years with the Blues, however, he enjoyed a phenomenal season with Ajax last season, helping the Dutch side reach the Europa League final.
During his time with Ajax, Traoré scored 13 goals and recorded six assists in 39 appearances across all competitions, which made French giants Olympique Lyon interested in signing the young forward, as they hope to secure their first league title since 2008.
Traoré’s move to Lyon raised questions over the future of Alexandre Lacazette, who reports in the recent week have linked him with a move to English Premier League side Arsenal.
The Burkinabé becomes the French side’s second deal of the summer after signing left-back Marçal from Benfica.
