EXCLUSIVE | Amr Warda looking for departure from PAOK
Egypt international forward Amr Warda has revealed his desire to leave Greece Super League club PAOK this transfer window after being frozen out by the team.
Warda, 23, joined PAOK Saloniki in the winter transfer window coming from Panetolikos after a successful one-and-a-half year stay there.
Following his impressive period with Panetolikos, Warda joined PAOK and won the Greek cup with the team but has seen his a difficult start to the team’s pre-season campaign after admitting to them his desire to depart.
KingFut understands Amr Warda has already informed PAOK of his will to leave the club ahead of pre-season.
The club would demand a heavy sum if they were to sell the player, with several clubs from England and Spain interested.
A fee around €6M would have to be paid by his suiters if PAOK were to part ways with the player.
Exploring his loan options is something which the former Al Ahly player has set his eyes on.
Amr Warda was part of the Egyptian national team that finished runners-up in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, taking part in several matches; most notably the final where he started as he team’s only striker.
