Egypt drop in latest FIFA World rankings
Egypt national team suffered a drop in the FIFA World Ranking for July but remained on top of the African rankings for the sixth consecutive month.
The Egyptians dropped from the 20th to the 24th position as Iran national team moved up seven spots in the 23rd position and Northern Island moved up 6 spots in the 22nd position. Egypt went down from 903 points to 866 points followed by Ukraine in the 25th position with 843 points.
Hecto Cuper’s men played only one match in June against Tunisia in the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers opening in Rades Stadium, which Egypt lost 1-0.
In the African rankings, the 2017 African Cup of Nations runner ups remained on top of the rankings followed by Senegal who remained in the 27th position with 831 points with Congo DR on their tails in the 28th position with 823 after moving up 11 positions.
