Mohamed Salah joins Liverpool pre-season training

Liverpool’s club-record signing has reported for his first training session at Melwood since joining the Reds from Roma.

The 25-year-old Egyptian international has joined up with his new teammates for the first time as he was given more time to rest after representing Egypt against Tunisia last month.

Klopp: I’m really looking forward to working with Salah

Salah wasn’t the only player to return for pre-season training. He was joined with Georginio Wijnaldum, Simon Mignolet, Ragnar Klavan, Dejan Lovren, Divock Origi, Marko Grujic, Harry Wilson and Danny Ward.

Liverpool’s first pre-season game will be against non-league side Tranmere Rovers on Wednesday, July 12 at Prenton Park. They will then face Sam Morsy’s Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium two days later.

The Egyptian winger put pen to paper last month on a five-year contract, becoming the club’s record signing as well as the most expensive African player in history.
