Abou-Treika: Salah aimed to return to Premier League

Former Al Ahly and Egyptian national team midfielder, Mohamed Abou-Treika, says Mohamed Salah was keen on returning to the Premier League after leaving Chelsea.

In an interview with BeIn sports, Abou-Treika stated, “Salah’s experience with Chelsea is a motive for him to shine with Liverpool. The latter is the perfect team for him, especially with having such as Jurgen Klopp.”

He added, “Liverpool’s style of play perfectly fits Salah and Klopp bought him to be a starter. Liverpool’s offense will be fierce.”

On his advice to Salah, the Egyptian legend said, “Salah took my advice before going to Liverpool. He listens to me and he is always looking for development. He has the potential to be a great player.”

The 25-year-old Egyptian played for Chelsea in 2014, before leaving to the Serie-A to play for Fiorentina and AS Roma, then returning to the Premier League in 2017 to join Liverpool FC.
