Frank Acheampong leaves Anderlecht for Tianjin TEDA
The Ghanaian international Frank Acheampong has left Belgian side Anderlecht and European football for the Tianjin TEDA and the Chinese Super League.
The 23 year old left back is set to leave the Belgian giants, Anderlecht, to join Tianjin Teda. The transfer is rumored to be a 6 month loan, while the player will earn an estimated fee of 300 thousand dollars a month.
The Ghanaian full back has had a previous Asian experience in the Thai league, where he spent two seasons before completing a move to Anderlecht in 2013.
Achempong played a total of 47 games last season with Anderlecht, in which he managed to score on 6 occasions and also contribute 6 assists.
Frank’s move to Tianjin Teda won’t feel lonely, as Acheampong is set to be the team’s fourth African player after Nigerian duo of John Mikel Obi and Brown Ideye as well as Senegalese forward Mbaye Diagne.
