Basketball: Abdel Nader signs deal with Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics have reportedly agreed to a four-year rookie deal with 2016 draft pick Abdel Nader, worth $6 million.

The 23-year-old was selected out of Iowa State in the second round (58th overall) of the 2016 Draft.

The Egyptian spent the 2016-17 season with the Celtics’ G-League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws, following his Summer League appearance for his parent team.

After finishing with averages of 21.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game with the Maine team, Abdel Nader was named the G-League Rookie of the Year.
