Elneny scores for Arsenal against WS Wanderers
Egypt international Mohamed Elneny scored in Arsenal’s final preseason match in Australia against WS Wanderers on Saturday night.
Arsenal are currently on a preseason tour in Australia and following their first match against Sydney FC, which they won 2-0 comfortably, their second and final match was on Saturday night against WS Wanderers.
Mohamed Elneny has been used as a centre-back in preseason thus far, which could mean that manager Arsene Wenger is preparing him for a new role in the squad ahead of the 2017/18 season.
Elneny started this match as a centre-back in a back-three formation. Olivier Giroud scored the first goal of the friendly and four minutes later Ramsey joined him on the scoresheet for Arsenal.
Egypt international Mohamed Elneny scored third goal after his long-range shot took a deflection off a player and went in.
Before being substituted, the 25-year-old Egyptian smashed one onto the crossbar from long range.
