Jürgen Klopp: Mohamed Salah is quicker than I thought
Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has commented on Mohamed Salah’s pace following a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League Asia Trophy.
The Egyptian started the game before he was subbed off at half-time as the Reds qualified to the Premier League Asia Trophy final where they will face Leicester City on Saturday, July 22.
When asked about the Egypt international in a press conference after the match, Klopp spoke highly of the 25-year-old winger: “If we hadn’t taken him off the pitch, he’d still be running.”
“He’s quicker than I thought! A nice player for us. We said last year we need speed, we have it now.
“It’s nice for everyone to see him on the pitch with his speed and his footballing skills,” the German added.
It’s worth mentioning that Salah scored on his Liverpool debut against Wigan Athletic and had a huge role in his team’s recent win over Crystal Palace.
