Smouha announce Momen Soliman departure
Smouha announced the departure of head coach Momen Soliman after his team qualified to Egypt Cup semi-finals.
The club was recently knocked out of the CAF Confederation Cup after drawing with Angola’s Recreativo do Libolo in Calulo. Locally, Smouha failed to finish in the top-four positions in the Egyptian Premier League which means that they will not be able to qualify to the Confederation Cup next season as they ended up in the fifth position.
Smouha said on their official website that the coach’s contract ended and both sides agreed to not extend it for another season. Soliman started leading Smouha at the beginning of the year following the termination of Hemly Toulan’s contract.
The Alexandria-based side will be facing league champions Al Ahly in Egypt Cup semi-finals on August 9.
