Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour announced the new technical staff that will be joining head coach Augusto Inacio which included Tarek Yehia as a general coach.

Mortada previously said that Inacio must hire a general coach to help him lead the team. The club president told the Portuguese coach that he wanted him to stay in his post as Zamalek manager and made sure he agreed to the new changes.

In addition to Yehia, Zamalek hired Hussein El-Sayed as a football manager and Medhat Abdel-Hady as an assistant coach.

“I would like to thank Tarek Yehia for accepting his new position,” the chairman told ON Sport TV channel. “The club’s former respectable goalkeeper Hussein El-Sayed and former defender Medhat Abdel-Hady will also join the staff.”

Yehia, who managed a number of Egyptian clubs including Ismaily, Misr El-Maqassa, Al Masry, and Entag El-Harby, commented on his new role at the White Castle by saying: “I will have technical decision-making power when it comes to choosing the squad, substitutions, and transfers. All of this was communicated with Inacio before the new agreement was announced.”

Yehia’s last spell as a coach was with Tala’a El-Gaish. It ended in May as he resigned from his post following a league loss against Al Ahly.

In addition to being a hardcore football fan, Abdelrahman is a communications enthusiast who works in marketing, advertising, content creation and PR.
