OFFICIAL: ENPPI sign Palestine international Jonathan Cantillana
ENPPI have completed the signing of Palestinian-Chilean midfielder Jonathan Cantillana on a free transfer, the club have announced on Thursday.
The 25-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year contract, after Palestinian club Ahli Al-Khaleel and the player mutually terminated their contract.
Jonathan brings a wealth of experience to the Petroleum club, having played league football in Chile, Palestine, and Malaysia and represented the Palestinian national team 11 times, scoring five goals.
The midfielder began his career with Chilean club San Antonio Unido before joining former Copa Chile champions Palestino. He then joined Malaysian side Kuala Lumpur FA in July 2016, but spent there six months only and then joined Palestine’s Ahli Al-Khaleel on a free transfer last January.
It’s worth mentioning that Cantillana will registered in the Egyptian FA as an Egyptian player due to him holding a Palestinian passport.
He will become Enppi’s fourth summer recruit after the club signed duo Samir Fekri and Bassam Maher from Telefonat Beni Suef and Mali’s Aboubacar Diarra from Stade Malien.
