Smouha announce ex-Ismaily coach František Straka as manager
The Czech Manager František Straka is set to return back to the Egyptian Premier League after Smouha announced his appointment as manager for their vacant position.
The Egyptian Premier League isn’t a new destination for the 59-year old, as he was appointed Ismaily manager late last year when the club was drowning to the relegation zone in the league table, but his position as manager for the Yellow Dragons didn’t last long as he was sacked after just six months.
Straka was handed the managerial position after Momen Soliman’s departure, following Smouha being knocked out of the CAF Confederation Cup as well as failing to finish in the top four positions in the EPL — meaning they won’t qualify to the Confederation Cup next season.
