Ayoub hints at possible changes in Al Ahly squad against Al Wahda

ayoubAl Ahly‘s assistant manager, Ahmed Ayoub, stated that Al Wahda clash, in the Arab Club Championship, is set to feature some changes in the squad, emphasizing the team’s aim to win.

Ayoub talked about the Red Devils chances in the pre-match conference against Emirati side, Al Wahda, stating that team will fight in the remaining two games to qualify to the second round and make the fans happy.

“We have no other choice other than win the remaining two games against Al Wahda and Nasr Hussien Dey. We’ll try to compensate for the loss against Al Faisaly and we aim is to win the championship.”

On squad changes, Ayoub stated, “One of our targets in this tournament, is to rotate the starting eleven and let players, who did not play a lot during the season, to get their chance. It’s essential to watch all players in the team before the next important stage.”

He added, “there is a chance that many changes will be featured in tomorrow’s squad, especially players such as Momen Zakaria, Hossam Ghaly and Islam Mohareb, who started practicing with the team, might play tomorrow depending on their technical and physical state.”

Al Ahly are set to face Al Wahda tomorrow at 15:00 CLT in their second clash in the Arab Club Championship, after losing their first match against Jordanian side, Al Faisaly.
