Hossam Hassan: Shikabala is interested in joining Al Masry
Al Masry manager Hossam Hassan has announced that Zamalek winger Mahmoud ‘Shikabala’ Abdel-Razek has expressed his interest in joining Al Masry.
Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour revealed on Monday that the team’s manager Augusto Inacio wanted to release Shikababla.
“Shikabala talked to me a few days ago and revealed his interest in joining Al Masry in case Zamalek released him. He’s a fantastic player and he’s welcomed at Al Masry, his presence would add a lot to the team,” Hassan said in an interview with DMC Sport satellite channel.
Shikabala and Hassan have previously worked together at Zamalek between 2009 and 2011, with the winger finishing as the league’s top scorer in the 2010/11 season.
“If Shikabala didn’t want to join Al Masry he wouldn’t have talked to me. If he joins my team I can help him return to the national team,” the Al Masry manager added.
This comes few days after Wadi Degla coach Ahmed ‘Mido’ Hossam announced that Shikabala is interested in joining his side.
The 31-year-old scored five goals and assisted 12 in 34 appearances with Zamalek this season. He also scored in Zamalek 2-2 draw with Morocco’s FUS in the Arab Club Championship on Sunday.
