Micho says Uganda game ‘won’t be easy’ for Egypt
Uganda manager Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojević said that Egypt’s clash with the Cranes won’t be easy for the Pharaohs even if he left his post as Uganda coach.
On Saturday, Micho had hinted that he might leave the Cranes over salary arrears and revealed he’ll make an announcement regarding his future with the Cranes in the next 48 hours.
The Serbian coach then said in a tweet on Monday that he was unable to reach a final agreement with the Uganda FA and responded to Egyptian media’s coverage of his possible resignation.
“Wondering why Egypt media is so interested I will be or not UG coach. With or without me UG won’t be easy as we made team one ball to decide,” Micho tweeted.
Uganda are scheduled to host the Pharaohs in their third group game of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification on August 31 before traveling to face them in Alexandria on September 5. The Cranes, who were drawn in Group E alongside Egypt, Ghana, and Congo, currently sit second on four points, two behind leaders Egypt.
They had played out a 0-0 away draw with Ghana in their first group stage game before beating Congo 1-0.
