Zamalek coach Inacio slams Mortada Mansour
Zamalek head coach Augusto Inacio attacked Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour and spoke about leaving the team due to difficult conditions that he is facing constantly.
Inacio spoke at a press conference before Zamalek’s game against Al-Ahed on Wednesday about current issues hindering him since he was assigned to lead the team. He criticized the chairman and said that his latest statements are lies.
“I have faced a lot of problems since I started my job,” the coach said. It is worth mentioning that Mortada said before that Inacio asked to leave the team before the club’s game against Ahli Tripoli in the CAF Champions League.
“Mortada is telling everybody that I don’t want Shikabala in the team, but in reality, Shikabala always starts and is one of the most important players in the team. He is the one who doesn’t want him,” Inacio explained.
The Portuguese coach also denied all news saying that he wanted to let go of Ayman Hefny and Bassem Morsi assuring that he only wanted to let go of Islam Gamal and Ahmed Gaafar.
“The problem with Mortada is that all of those who are around him fear him so much,” he added. “If he holds a Pepsi bottle and told them it’s Coca-Cola everyone will agree because they’re all afraid they’d lose their positions.”
As for resigning and departing ways with Zamalek, Inacio confirmed that he can easily leave if the administration doesn’t want him adding that he will not activate the three-month penalty clause in his contract.
“I only want someone to sit with me and tell me what do they want? The problem is that no one tells the truth in Zamalek,” he concluded.
