Zamalek to lodge complaint against Augusto Inácio
Zamalek chairman Mortada Mansour has confirmed that his club will lodge a complaint to FIFA against manager Augusto Inácio.
The Portuguese manager criticised the club’s management and said that Mansour’s latest statements are lies, which angered the latter, who revealed that his club will submit an official complaint to FIFA against him.
“We will hold a meeting with Inácio to discuss and investigate his recent actions,” Mortada said on Thursday.
“Inácio is the reason behind our exit from the Arab Club Championship. He made a number of adjustments to the squad and used new players.
“The club are preparing to submit an official complaint to FIFA against him,” he added.
The former Sporting Lisbon manager was named as Zamalek manager last April, but couldn’t guide the team to the Champions League quarter-finals or the Arab Club Championship semi-finals.
The 62-year-old led the Whites in 22 matches this season, with an overall record of 10 wins, six draws, and six losses. The team conceded 23 goals and scored only 28 since his appointment.
