Sam Morsy – Wigan Athletic (England)
July 29 – Friendly – Sam Morsy played 90 minutes in Wigan Athletic’s 1-1 draw with League Two side Grimsby Town FC. It took only six minutes for Wigan to take the lead though Callum Lang who was assisted by Gavin Massey. In the 89th minute, a penalty was awarded to Grimsby when Tom Bolarinwa was brought down in the box. Ben Davies scored the penalty to equalize for Grimsby in the last minute.
Ahmed Elmohamady – Aston Villa (England)
July 29 – Friendly – Ahmed Elmohamady played 70 minutes in Aston Villa’s 0-0 draw with Premier League side Watford. Elmohamady missed a good chance around the 35th minute, but was one of the standout players of the game once again. Twelve minutes after the halftime, Aston Villa was awarded a penalty after Hutton was fouled in the box. However, Watford’s keeper saved Lansbury’s penalty. Aston Villa will play their season opener in the Championship next weekend.
