PAOK’s Amr Warda in negotiations with Saudi club
Egypt international Amr Warda is in negotiations with a Saudi Professional League club after having been given the green light to leave by PAOK.
Amr Warda has entered negotiations with a club in Saudi Arabia ahead of a potential move after being frozen out by PAOK FC.
The 22-year-old is being heavily courted by Al-Fateh club ahead of a potential loan move this window.
Warda has endured a tough start to the 2017/18 preseason with PAOK after the club had denied him permission to leave amid interest from Swiss, English and Spanish club.
The playmaker missed out on the best part of preseason and was not part of the squad in their third round Europa League match against Olimpik Donetsk.
KingFut sources confirm that Warda may now be setting sail to the Gulf on a season-long loan with Al-Fateh Club.
The Saudi Pro League has been courting Egyptian players ever since a new law was passed that allowed teams to have six foreign players instead of four on their roasters.
The league currently has four Egyptian players, Mohamed Abdel-Shafy at Al Ahli, Mahmoud Kahraba at Ittihad, Essam El-Hadary and Mostafa Fathi at Al-Taawoun.
It is also worth noting that Warda had posted a farewell message to PAOK fans before immediately deleting the post afterwards.
The former Al Ahly player joined PAOK just last January coming from Panetolikos FC.
