Ittihad of Alexandria sign Ivorian striker Manucho
Ittihad of Alexandria have signed Ivorian striker Kouakou Fabrice ‘Manucho’ on a three-year deal, the Alexandria-based club announced.
The 26-year-old joins the Egyptian Premier League side on a free transfer after the end of his contract with Algerian side USM Alger.
He joined USM Alger in January 2015, signing a two-and-a-half year deal. After spending the rest of the season with USM Alger, Kouakou went on loan to RC Relizane for the 2015/16 season, where he scored 10 goals in the league.
Manucho was loaned again as he joined CS Constantine for the 2016/17 season, scoring six league goals.
The Ivorian striker is expected to arrive in Alexandria at the beginning of next week to have his medical completed before officially joining the team.
This marks Ittihad’s second signing since Hany Ramzy took over at the helm last week, as they have previously completed the signing of former Al Ahly goalkeeper Amir Abdel-Hamid.
